Renzo Staking gives you ezETH after you restake ETH or an eligible liquid staking token, but the useful part starts after the deposit: knowing how to hold, track, move, and avoid misusing that liquid restaking token. If you use Renzo Staking, the goal is extra rewards while staying liquid, not pretending ezETH is risk-free ETH.
ezETH lets your restaked position keep working while the token remains usable in your wallet. You can hold it, move it, or use it in supported DeFi venues. The tradeoff is that ezETH has its own market price, smart-contract exposure, and restaking risk.
This guide covers the after-deposit part: checking ezETH, using it carefully, and planning an exit.
Before you do anything with ezETH, make sure the basics are in place:
Do not deposit every last bit of ETH. Even if your ezETH balance looks healthy, approvals, transfers, swaps, and withdrawals still need gas.
ezETH is a liquid restaking token, often called an LRT. It represents exposure to a restaked ETH position through Renzo. The underlying strategy is connected to Ethereum staking and restaking through EigenLayer, where validators and operators can help secure AVS, or actively validated services.
The reward stack can include base ETH staking rewards, restaking or AVS-related rewards through EigenLayer, and protocol points. Those rewards are layered, but not fixed. APY, points programs, and market pricing can change.
Treat ezETH as a productive, liquid position with moving parts. It is not idle ETH. It is not a stablecoin. It is not guaranteed yield.
Open your wallet and confirm ezETH appears after the deposit. Some wallets show it automatically. Others may require you to import the token contract from the official app or another trusted source.
Do not search random social posts for token details. Fake tokens can copy a name, logo, and ticker. If you need to add ezETH manually, get the contract information from the official interface.
Check your wallet history too. A successful deposit should show your ETH or eligible LST leaving and ezETH arriving or being minted. If the interface still says pending, wait before repeating the action.
